We are currently providing the following services at the Multicultural Neighbourhood Centre
CONVERSATION CLASS FOR NON ENGLISH SPEAKING BACKGROUND MEN AND WOMEN
The conversation English class is FREE for everyone who wants to practise their Conversational English regardless of their residency status or visa type; so it’s FREE for Tourist or Visitor, a Temporary Resident, a Permanent Resident, Australian Citizen or anyone with any other kind of visa.
In this class the participants learn about Australia, our flowers and plants, our animals, our culture and our language.
Also, they meet new people, make new friends, and have fun while learning English.
It’s a very friendly class for people with all levels of English and all ages to practise their spoken English every Tuesday starting at 10am during school terms.
LISTENING AND PRONUNCIATION ENGLISH CLASS FOR NON ENGLISH SPEAKING BACKGROUND MEN AND WOMEN
The Listening and Pronunciation English Class for non-English speaking background men and women is a free class and designed to help them to practice their English Language while the focus is listening and pronunciation. The class is free for everyone regardless of the visa type and it is also a great opportunity to meet new people, socialise and make new friends. The class run every Wednesday during school terms starting at 10 am.
MULTICULTURAL PLAYGROUP
Come join us at the Multicultural Neighbourhood Centre, Lambton for fun playgroup activities for children. Parents and Carers can have a cuppa with the opportunity to gain knowledge and information on parenting and child development and reduce isolation.
The playgroup runs every Friday during school terms from 10am – 12 midday and it is free to join.
MULTICULTURAL YOUTH PROJECT
The Multicultural Youth Project aims to support, resource & collaborate with Culturally & Linguistically Diverse young people aged 12-17 (and their families) on a variety of projects, programs, activities and events.
We partner with other organisations, schools, community groups & local businesses to work on projects that will benefit CALD young people, their families and communities.

- Skills Based Programs
- Events & Social Activities
- Art, Crafts & Digital Media

MULTICULTURAL GARDENING GROUP
The Multicultural Community Gardening Group promotes social and educational interaction among people of diverse backgrounds by in a pleasant, informal, non-sectarian, non-political atmosphere at the Centre.
The Multicultural Community Gardening Group involves volunteers from the CALD background together with the wider community around the area. The project helps the community:
- To get together and develop tolerance and acceptance between people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- To allow people to grow their own vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers etc.
- Learn about gardening and share local and traditional knowledge and practices
- To encourage cultural exchange, learning, sharing and community enterprises.

CONFERENCE ROOM
The Conference room is a 42 m² carpeted and Air-conditioned room equipped with white boards, tables and chairs. The room is well-appointed for meetings, seminars, group interviews and training days.

CONDITIONS FOR ANY ROOM HIRE
The entire hire fee including bond, key deposit and cleaning fee must be paid no later than seven (7) days prior to hire. The hire fee will be deducted and the remainder returned to the hirer, following an inspection of the premises and return of the key. Cleaning fees and any other costs relating to damage or misuse of the premises will be deducted.
